Oxford Philomusica Competition Entry
Welcome to the www.whatson2day.co.uk Oxford Philomusica, "LA Belle France" at the Sheldonian Theatre, Broad Street, Oxford.
John Rutter makes a welcome return to conduct what will be only the second performance of his Harp Concerto, for which the Orchestra will be joined by Catrin Finch, described as the "The Queen of Harps". This delightful springtime concert opens and closes with two Gallic backward glances – Ravel’s formalised tribute to friends fallen in the First World War, and Bizet’s only, but brilliant and classically-conceived, symphonic excursion.
To be entered into the competition all you have to do is answer the following question:
What type of instrument is a Harp?
- Wind
- String
- Brass
- Electric
